Self Preception

Have you ever heard someone say that  you have to believe in your self before anyone can believe in you? Have you ever felt your confidence lifted and then others begin to comment upon your skill level. Self prception can be a very powerful thing. Some studies have been linked self preception and presuasion. Studies have shown a relationship in a person’s self-perception and the ability to persuade them through a concept known as the Foot-In-The-Door tactic (FITD). The self preception theory is one that I take great focus upon in my career path. The key to sales in excellent communication and that requires being able to read and understand people. By learning this theory I wll be able to apply presuasion when selling products and services. I hope that you enjoy the paper.

Personal Branding

“A person is expected to be agile in a fluctuation job market, responsive to any opportunities, self-motivating and self-promoting” (Eisenberg, Goodall, & Trethewey, 2010). A growing trend in today’s professional world is that of a personal brand.

This process is allowng professionals to showcase just how they can be an assist to the organization that they attempting to on board with. This is growing trend that is almost a must in the competive market. Jobs are not easy to come so professionals are taking their self martketng to another level to obtain highly sought after positions. I would recommend personnal branding to anyone currently seeking employment. Lets communicate with the leadership teams through branding before we even meet.

Team Empowerment

I believe that you must have a strong team in order to be strong yourself. You can't carry the weight of the company. You can't do everything, so you must build and contiune to support the team. So how do we support the team? Their are many ways to support your employees. One of those ways is to empower the staff, have them involved in decision making processes. When team members feel empowered they feel that they have a much more improtant role with the company and they may feel a sence of purpose in their positions. “Highly empowered teams are more effective than less empowered teams” (Rothwell, 2013).

Working as a medical sales rep I will not only want to empower my co-workers but also the clients that I work with. Empowerment rises self confidence and self preception and as we learned before those can lead us to success. Enjoy the paper!

Mere Exposure

You hear a jingle on an auto parts commercial that repeats a company slogan over and over then you find yourself singing the song later in the day to yourself. Perhaps your car is in need of a small do it yourself repair and you select the auto parts store that you have been exposed to over and over again on TV. This scenario would be a great example of the mere exposure effect. This process can prove to be very successful but it's best to always remember to keep a positive tone to he exposure. It is along these same lines that I will use mere exposure in my new career path. I must be certain that my clients are exposed to positive things about me because to them, I represent the company.
